Nexus Eyecare is a growing specialist ophthalmology practice committed to delivering exceptional patient care through clinical excellence and innovation. We are seeking an experienced Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Blacktown clinic.

Reporting to the Business Development Manager and Directors, you will be a key member of our leadership team, driving operational excellence, fostering a positive team culture and supporting the continued growth of the practice. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys leading people, improving systems and creating an outstanding patient experience.

About the Role;

You will oversee the daily operations of our specialist practice, leading a team of approximately 10 staff while working closely with our specialists, Business Development Manager and Directors.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth clinic operations, developing a high-performing team and supporting business growth through operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities;

Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team.

Oversee the daily operations of the practice.

Foster a positive, accountable and collaborative workplace culture.

Partner with the Business Development Manager to support business growth and implement new initiatives.

Continuously improve workflows, efficiency and the patient experience.

Recruit, onboard and mentor new team members.

Manage staff rosters and day-to-day workforce coordination.

Ensure compliance with Medicare, accreditation and practice policies.

Work collaboratively with specialists to optimize clinic performance.

About You;

You are an experienced healthcare leader who is proactive, organized and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Essential;

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Practice Manager or senior healthcare leader.

Experience within a specialist medical practice.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Understanding of Medicare and private practice operations.

Ability to drive accountability and continuous improvement.

Desirable:

Ophthalmology experience.

Experience using Genie Practice Management Software.
