Launch Recruitment is exclusively partnering with a well-established organisation to find a Network Microsegmentation Engineer to join their security platform engineering function on perm, full time basis.

You will play a key role in designing, configuring and maintaining network segmentation across the organisation's environment to support a Zero Trust approach to network security.

Day-to-day responsibilities include -

• Configure and maintain segmentation platforms, including agent management and collector maintenance
• Define segmentation policy for non-production and lower-risk workload environments
• Develop automation scripts and workflows to support policy management
• Produce operational runbooks and platform documentation.
• Support SIEM integration for segmentation telemetry
• Work closely with Network Engineering and wider security teams to align segmentation policy with network-layer controls

Experience required -

• 3 or more years' hands-on experience in network security, workload security or platform engineering, with exposure to network segmentation concepts
• Experience with Azure DevOps in an enterprise environment including CI/CD pipeline creation
• Practical understanding of network segmentation principles, including Zero Trust network access, least privilege communication and workload isolation
• Working knowledge of enterprise network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, VLANs and firewall policy, sufficient to diagnose segmentation issues and communicate effectively with Network Engineering teams
• Hands-on experience with enterprise microsegmentation platforms such as Illumio, Akamai Guardicore or VMware NSX (Very Desirable)
• Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash or equivalent)
