Production Assistant

Council is seeking to appoint a casual Production Assistant to contribute to Council’s success.

Fast paced and diverse role

Deliver the Region’s largest community events

Based at the Gladstone Entertainment & Convention Centre

About the Role

The purpose of this position is to provide support to the production team in the day-to-day production operations of the GECC and Events & Entertainment external events.

Your role will include:

Promoting a positive Workplace Health and Safety culture and ensure active compliance

Working with the GECC’s Production team to deliver a wide range of internal and external community events

Working in a high paced environment with GECC’s event roster including a wide variety of hours and days

You will bring:

Demonstrated high level of customer service, interpersonal and communication skills, to engage with a diverse client base.

Problem solving skills to effectively address technical matters within your areas of knowledge, prior to escalating to the Supervisor.

Proficient keyboard skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite and operating corporate business systems.

Working with Children Blue Card or must be eligible and willing to attain on appointment.

Current accredited First Aid and CPR or ability to attain on appointment.

Legally able to drive a motor vehicle in Queensland.
