Rates: Dayshift $50.50 Afternoon Shift $58.07 (inclusive of 15% shift loading)
Overtime: Plenty available each week plus Saturday shifts!
Hours - Dayshift 5am-1pm Monday to Friday. Afternoon shift 1pm-9pm Monday to Friday

The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join a leading food manufacturing business based in Wacol.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a mechanically skilled fitter looking to secure a stable dayshift position within a high volume manufacturing environment.
You will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, safety and performance of production equipment while working closely with the wider maintenance and production teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across production machinery and plant equipment
• Diagnose and repair mechanical breakdowns to minimise production downtime
• Conduct inspections, servicing and scheduled maintenance
• Work on conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Assist with continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives
• Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in line with site procedures
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
• Work closely with production teams to resolve equipment issues efficiently

About You

• Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fitter & Turner
• Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing
• Strong mechanical fault-finding and preventative maintenance skills
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, pumps and gearboxes
• Strong understanding of workplace health and safety
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a maintenance team
• Reliable, hands-on and proactive approach
