We are seeking a passionate and dedicated FULL TIME (3 year old class) Kindergarten Teacher to join our professional and supportive team.

About the role

As our 3-year-old Kindergarten Teacher, you will play a key role in providing a high-quality kindergarten program that supports children's learning, development, wellbeing and school readiness. The class is capped at 22 children per day with always 2 staff present.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement an engaging, play-based kindergarten program

Build strong, respectful relationships with children and families

Observe, document and assess children's learning and development

Plan experiences based on children's interests, strengths, abilities and individual needs

Support children's social, emotional, physical and cognitive development

Embed literacy, numeracy, STEM, sustainability and creative learning opportunities

Incorporate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives respectfully throughout the curriculum

Work collaboratively with educators, families and relevant professionals

Contribute to the service's Quality Improvement Plan and continuous improvement practices

Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory and service requirements

About you

Passionate about early childhood education and children's learning

Warm, nurturing, creative and approachable

Confident in developing and delivering a high-quality kindergarten program

Committed to inclusive practice and children's rights

A strong communicator who builds positive relationships with families and colleagues

Able to work collaboratively as part of a professional team

Committed to reflective practice and continuous improvement

Knowledgeable about the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and National Quality Standard

Committed to child safety, wellbeing and safeguarding

Respectful of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and perspectives

Essential Requirements

Approved Early Childhood Teaching qualification.

Current FULL VIT registration or eligibility for registration.

Current Working with Children Check. (If you have one)

Current First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis and Asthma qualifications.

Knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and National Quality Framework.

Demonstrated commitment to the Victorian Child Safe Standards.

Completed Foundation Mandatory Reporting Certificate
