Project Engineer | Off-Grid Renewable Energy

Core Talent is partnering with a specialist renewable energy contractor to recruit an experienced Project Engineer to deliver off-grid solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), diesel generation and hybrid power projects across Northern Australia.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business with a collaborative, hands-on culture where everyone contributes. You'll work closely with project managers, electricians, commissioning teams and clients to deliver innovative energy solutions from planning through to commissioning.
Please note: Previous experience delivering off-grid, hybrid power, arenewable energy, EPC, solar PV or BESS projects is essential. Applications without relevant electrical or renewable energy project experience are unlikely to be considered.

The Role

You'll take ownership of projects from planning through to completion, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure projects are delivered safely on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver off-grid renewable energy and hybrid power projects from planning through to commissioning.
• Coordinate the installation of solar PV, BESS, diesel generation and hybrid power systems.
• Manage project programmes, procurement, budgets and subcontractors.
• Work closely with clients, site teams and commissioning personnel.
• Ensure projects meet HSEQ requirements and relevant Australian Standards.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and contribute to continuous improvement.

About You

• Demonstrated experience delivering off-grid, hybrid power, renewable energy or EPC projects (essential).
• Experience with solar PV, BESS, diesel generation, microgrids or standalone power systems.
• Strong understanding of electrical construction, commissioning and project delivery.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Current Australian Driver's Licence.

Highly Regarded

• Experience delivering EPC renewable energy projects.
• Knowledge of AS/NZS 3000, 5033, 4777 or 4509.
• Experience working within a small, collaborative project delivery team.
