About the Company

Our client is a well-established Tier 2 mechanical services contractor with a strong reputation across the ACT.

Specialising in commercial HVAC construction and mechanical services, they deliver high-quality solutions across a range of sectors including commercial developments, healthcare, education, industrial facilities, and major construction projects.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced HVAC professional who enjoys being hands-on, leading site teams, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing day-to-day site operations across commercial HVAC projects

Coordinating HVAC installation works, subcontractors, suppliers, and site resources

Leading site teams to achieve project milestones and completion targets

Ensuring all works are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications

Reviewing and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and construction documentation

Liaising with builders, engineers, consultants, and project management teams

Managing site programming, labour requirements, materials, and deliveries

Conducting site inspections, toolbox meetings, and quality assurance checks

Identifying and resolving technical issues and construction challenges

Supporting commissioning, testing, balancing, and project handover activities

Selection Criteria

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Proven experience as a Site Manager, Site Supervisor, or Foreman within commercial HVAC/mechanical services

Trade qualification in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration or Mechanical Services

Strong understanding of commercial HVAC installations and construction processes

Experience managing subcontractors and site teams

Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications

Strong knowledge of WHS requirements and site compliance

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities

Current Australian Driver’s Licence

Desirable Experience

Experience delivering commercial HVAC projects valued between $2M – $5M

Exposure to Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction environments

Experience across healthcare, data centres, education, or major commercial developments
