About the Client
Our client is a specialist environmental services provider delivering remediation, water treatment and civil solutions across a range of infrastructure and industrial projects. They combine engineering expertise with practical site-based solutions to manage environmental challenges, restore contaminated sites and improve water quality.
Hours:
You will be required to work Monday – Saturday from 6:30am to 4:30pm, with the ability to work Sundays when and where required.
What You Will Be Doing
In this role you will be undertaking environmental remediation works on Gibson Island on the former industrial site. You will be responsible for the following duties as a GPS machine operator:
Operate GPS-equipped machinery across bulk earthworks, detailed excavation, site preparation and final trim activities.
Complete bulk earthworks, fill placement, spreading, levelling, trimming and reinstatement in accordance with project specifications.
Use GPS machine control systems, digital models, drawings and site plans to achieve required levels, grades and tolerances.
Undertake earthworks around services, infrastructure and environmentally sensitive areas.
Safely handle, move and stockpile clean and contaminated materials in accordance with site and environmental requirements.
Assist with drainage, dewatering, remediation, foundations, service trenches and other civil works as required.
Coordinate with truck drivers, labourers, supervisors and other plant operators to maintain efficient site operations.
Complete proof rolling, compaction and final trimming activities to required specifications
What You Will Need
Driver’s Licence + reliable transport
Previous experience completing the above duties
Previous GPS experience
White Card
Excavator, Grader or Dozer ticket (RII)
Willingness and ability to wear a Powered air purifying respirator (PAPR) for long periods of time
