APG Workforce is currently seeking an experienced Plant Operator Grade 3 to join a Transport for NSW Construction Crew based in Hay.
This is an excellent opportunity to work within a government road construction environment operating a range of plant and equipment while contributing to essential infrastructure projects across the region.
Role Details
- Location: Hay NSW
- Start Date: 31/8/2026
- End Date: 30/10/26 high potential of extension
- Pay Rate: $48.94 per hour + Super
- Hours: 8.5 hours per day | 76 hours per fortnight
About the Role
Working within a construction crew, you will be responsible for operating a variety of plant and equipment associated with earthworks and road construction activities. You will also assist with general labouring and manual handling tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate plant and equipment including rollers, loaders and other construction machinery
- Assist with road construction and earthworks activities
- Perform pre-start checks and routine maintenance inspections
- Undertake manual handling and labouring duties as required
- Work safely and follow TfNSW policies and procedures
- Contribute to a productive and collaborative team environment
Essential Requirements
- White Card
- Workers on Foot (WOF)
- Current Class C Driver Licence
- Experience operating construction plant including rollers and loaders
- Understanding of construction earthworks and roadworks
- Ability to perform physical labouring tasks
- Must pass a Police Check
Desirable
- Truck Licence (MR/HR or higher)
- Traffic Control qualification (or willingness to obtain)
- Previous civil construction experience
