Key Responsibilities
1. Business Performance & Financial Analysis
Monitor and analyze monthly business and financial performance across SEA operating companies.
Evaluate revenue, profitability, costs, pricing, and key business drivers against budgets, forecasts, prior-year results, and management targets.
Identify business risks, issues, and opportunities through data-driven analysis and provide actionable insights.
Prepare management reports and performance summaries for senior leadership.
Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and mid-term business planning.
2. Market & Industry Analysis
Conduct market, industry, customer, competitor, and regulatory analysis relevant to the industrial gases business.
Monitor market trends, competitive developments, growth opportunities, and regional business risks.
Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities across the SEA + KTI region.
Translate market intelligence into business insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
3. Corporate Planning & Strategy
Support regional business strategy development, corporate planning, and mid- to long-term business plans.
Assist management in evaluating investment opportunities, business development initiatives, and strategic projects.
Support the alignment of regional priorities while considering the individual business conditions and autonomy of each operating company.
Coordinate cross-country information gathering, analysis, and strategic planning activities.
4. Executive Reporting & Management Support
Prepare presentations, reports, and briefing materials for regional management, board meetings, and executive discussions.
Consolidate and present complex business information in a clear and concise manner.
Coordinate with operating companies and functional teams to ensure timely and accurate information.
Support management meetings, including agenda preparation, minutes, action tracking, and follow-up.
5. Regional Project Management
Support cross-regional projects involving multiple operating companies and corporate functions.
Coordinate project timelines, deliverables, stakeholders, and follow-up actions to ensure timely execution.
Facilitate collaboration across different countries, cultures, and business environments.
Support regional initiatives covering business transformation, organizational development, sustainability, governance, and operational improvement.
Identify project issues, recommend solutions, and monitor progress through completion.
6. Cross-functional & Stakeholder Management
Collaborate with Finance, HR, Legal & Compliance, Internal Audit, IT, Sustainability, and other corporate functions on regional initiatives.
Act as a key coordination point between Japan headquarters, regional operating companies, and functional teams.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders across different countries, functions, and levels of seniority.
Facilitate alignment and effective communication while respecting the responsibilities of individual functions and operating companies.
7. Corporate Governance & Other Responsibilities
Support corporate governance, internal control, compliance, and policy implementation across the region.
Coordinate compliance-related matters and regional information requests.
Maintain accurate management reports, records, and documentation.
Provide administrative and analytical support for management initiatives and ad hoc projects.
Key Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Management, or a related discipline.
3 to 8 years of relevant working experience. Experience in one or more of the following areas is preferred: Corporate Planning/ Business Planning/ FP&A / Finance/ Management Reporting/ Business Analysis/ Market Research/ Consulting/ Project Management/ Manufacturing, energy, infrastructure, or industrial-related business
Experience in a regional headquarters or multinational company environment.
Knowledge of the industrial gases, manufacturing, infrastructure, energy, or chemical industries.
JLPT N1/ JLPT N2 is an advantage
Strong numerical and analytical capability.
Ability to interpret financial statements, management reports, and operational data.
Ability to analyze business performance and identify underlying causes behind the numbers.
Ability to conduct market and industry analysis.
Ability to translate analysis into practical business insights and recommendations.
Strong proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Communication and Presentation Skills
Ability to prepare clear, logical, and executive-level presentation materials.
Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders from different countries, cultures, and functions.
