About the role

CHL CONSTRUCTION PTE LTD' is seeking a motivated and experienced WSH (Workplace Safety and Health) Officer to join our growing team. As a WSH Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees across our construction projects. This is a full-time position that will require you to be on-site and actively engaged in promoting a culture of safety.

What you'll be doing

Develop, implement and monitor comprehensive safety and health programs to mitigate risks and prevent accidents

Conduct regular site inspections, identify and address potential hazards, and implement corrective actions

Provide training and guidance to employees on safe work practices, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and emergency procedures

Investigate and document all incidents, accidents and near-misses, and ensure timely reporting to relevant authorities

Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all applicable WSH regulations and industry best practices

Maintain detailed records and documentation related to safety programs, training, and incident reports

Stay up-to-date with changes in WSH legislation and industry standards, and implement necessary updates to our safety protocols

Lead a team of WSH coordinators. Overseas their implementations, provide in house training and consolidate the company's WSH procedures.

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience as a WSH Officer within the construction industry

Possession of a relevant WSH-related certification and registration.

Strong understanding of WSH regulations, standards, and best practices applicable to the construction industry

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and engage with employees at all levels

Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team

Willingness to work on-site and adapt to the dynamic nature of construction projects
