Role: Speech Pathologist
Status: Full-Time or Part-Time (3 days per week minimum), Permanent
Location: Bright Door Clinics, Townsville

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Deliver evidence-based speech pathology assessments and intervention services to children and young people.

Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to achieve extraordinary outcomes.

Develop tailored therapy plans that support communication, language, speech, literacy and social communication goals.

Work closely with families and carers to maximise therapy outcomes beyond individual sessions.

Prepare clinical documentation, progress reports and recommendations in line with professional and organisational requirements.

Liaise with Occupational Therapists, educators and other key stakeholders where appropriate to support positive client outcomes.

Monitor client progress and adapt intervention strategies to meet changing needs.

Support participants and families accessing services through the NDIS and other funding pathways.

WHAT YOU BRING:

A recognised degree in Speech Pathology and current membership with Speech Pathology Australia.

Experience working with children and young people.

Strong knowledge of evidence-based speech pathology assessment and intervention practices.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

The ability to build positive relationships with clients, families and colleagues.

Strong organisational and time management skills.

NDIS experience is highly regarded.

A commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.

A genuine desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children, young people and their families.
