Managing Director - APAC Brisbane Based | Executive Leadership Opportunity
An exciting opportunity exists for an accomplished commercial leader to take ownership of the Asia Pacific region for a global software and technology organisation.
This role will lead regional growth, customer success and operational performance across a well-established business delivering enterprise solutions to customers throughout APAC and emerging markets.
Reporting into the global executive leadership team, the Managing Director will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing high-performing teams, strengthening customer relationships and executing regional strategies that support long-term business objectives.
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced SaaS or enterprise software executive to lead a significant regional operation with full accountability for commercial performance, customer outcomes and organisational effectiveness.
The Opportunity
As Managing Director, you will lead the APAC business across sales, account management, customer success, solutions consulting and strategic partnerships. You will be responsible for developing and executing the regional growth strategy while ensuring alignment with global priorities and delivering sustainable business outcomes.
You will act as the senior executive representative for the region, providing strategic leadership, fostering a high-performance culture and identifying opportunities to expand market presence across both mature and emerging markets.
Key Responsibilities
Regional Leadership & Strategy
- Lead the overall APAC business with accountability for regional growth, profitability and operational performance.
- Develop and execute strategic plans that support market expansion, customer retention and business growth.
- Provide regional insights into customer needs, market trends and competitive dynamics.
- Foster a collaborative, customer-focused and high-performing culture across the region.
Commercial Leadership
Sales & Account Management
- Drive achievement of annual recurring revenue, bookings, pipeline and retention targets.
- Lead commercial teams to deliver disciplined forecasting, territory planning and sales execution.
- Promote a value-based selling approach focused on solving customer challenges and expanding customer relationships.
Customer Success
- Oversee customer success functions to maximise onboarding effectiveness, product adoption and customer satisfaction.
- Drive customer retention and long-term value realisation through proactive engagement strategies.
- Act as a strong advocate for customer needs, partnering closely with product and technical teams.
Solutions Consulting
- Lead solutions consulting teams to deliver technical expertise and consultative support throughout the customer lifecycle.
- Strengthen industry and solution expertise to improve customer outcomes and commercial success.
People Leadership
- Build, coach and develop high-performing teams across commercial, customer and technical functions.
- Establish clear performance expectations and succession planning strategies.
- Drive collaboration between regional and global teams to enhance execution and alignment.
Market Expansion & Partnerships
- Identify and pursue strategic growth opportunities throughout APAC and emerging markets.
- Develop and strengthen channel, reseller and strategic partner relationships.
- Enhance market presence through executive engagement, industry events and thought leadership initiatives.
Operational Excellence
- Drive forecasting accuracy, pipeline management, pricing governance and commercial discipline.
- Ensure compliance with regional regulatory, financial and legal requirements.
- Partner closely with Finance, Marketing, Operations and Legal teams to optimise business performance and scalability.
About You
You are a proven executive leader with extensive experience leading regional businesses or large business units within SaaS, enterprise software or technology environments.
You bring a strong combination of strategic vision, commercial acumen and operational execution, together with a demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams and deliver sustained growth.
Key Requirements
- Proven experience leading a regional business or significant business unit within a SaaS, software or technology organisation.
- Strong track record of leading sales, customer success, pre-sales or commercial functions.
- Demonstrated success driving growth, retention and operational performance.
- Deep understanding of APAC markets and regional business dynamics.
- Experience building, developing and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong analytical and decision-making capability with a data-driven approach.
- Exceptional communication, stakeholder management and executive leadership skills.
- Ability to influence across global leadership teams, customers and strategic partners.
