Are you a Civil Engineer or Asset Management professional looking to further your career within a large and dynamic infrastructure environment?
An exciting opportunity is available for an Asset Engineer to support the management, maintenance and improvement of critical infrastructure assets. Working within a collaborative asset management team, you will play a key role in maintaining asset data, supporting capital works planning, and contributing to the effective management of roads, drainage, buildings and open space assets.
Your new role
This role offers a diverse blend of asset management, engineering analysis, data management and stakeholder engagement. You will support ongoing asset management initiatives while helping deliver long-term infrastructure planning and reporting outcomes.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintaining and updating asset registers across a range of infrastructure assets
- Supporting the collection, validation and management of asset data
- Assisting with capital works planning and reporting activities
- Maintaining asset information within TechnologyOne and related systems
- Contributing to lifecycle modelling and future works programs
- Assessing engineering plans, reports and supporting documentation
- Preparing reports, specifications and technical documentation
- Responding to asset-related enquiries from internal and external stakeholders
- Supporting infrastructure asset management projects and continuous improvement initiatives
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful, you will demonstrate:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Asset Management, Spatial Science, GIS, Information Technology or a related discipline
- Experience working with infrastructure asset management systems
- Strong understanding of asset registers, asset data management and reporting
- Experience using GIS platforms such as ArcGIS, QGIS or MapInfo
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- High-level Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently
Highly regarded
- Experience with TechnologyOne/OneCouncil Asset Management systems
- Exposure to SQL, Python or FME
- Local Government or infrastructure industry experience
- Knowledge of roads, drainage, buildings or open space assets
