Our client is a Australian family-owned and operated business, with hundreds of people across Australia. They are a leader in the healthcare space, helping people with medical conditions, bringing higher quality of life.

They're looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their Finance team and play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations of our growing national group.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the financial reporting, supporting month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, statutory compliance, cash flow management and continuous improvement across the finance function.

What you'll be doing:
  • Managing month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and depreciation
  • Preparing monthly management accounts and supporting schedules
  • Maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations across multiple entities
  • Supporting BAS, GST, FBT, payroll tax and income tax compliance
  • Assisting with statutory reporting and external audit requirements
  • Supporting short- and long-term cash flow and liquidity forecasting
  • Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes, systems and controls
  • Providing financial analysis and insights to operational and commercial stakeholders
  • Supporting acquisitions, due diligence and integration activities when required
  • Identifying financial risks and control weaknesses and recommending improvements
  • Maintaining compliance with Australian Accounting Standards and relevant legislation
About you:

You'll be a technically strong accountant who enjoys working in a collaborative, hands-on environment. You'll bring:

  • Relevant accounting qualifications, ideally CA or CPA
  • Strong experience across financial accounting, month-end and reconciliations
  • Sound knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and taxation requirements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive approach to process improvement and systems
  • The ability to work effectively across a diverse, national business
  • A strong commitment to integrity, accountability and customer service
