The Opportunity

Our client is a leading and growing ASX-listed business seeking a Finance Business Partner to join one of its core business units.

Partnering closely with senior Technology stakeholders, you will provide commercial and strategic financial support across budgeting, forecasting, investment analysis, business case development and financial modelling. You will play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives, influencing investment decisions and driving improved commercial outcomes across the Technology function. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract opportunity.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Finance Partner Lead, your responsibilities will include:

• Partner with senior Technology stakeholders to provide commercial financial support and strategic advice
• Develop financial models, scenario analysis and business cases to support investment decisions and strategic initiatives
• Support budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning processes
• Analyse operating and capital expenditure, identifying opportunities to optimise costs and improve financial performance
• Monitor project expenditure and support the evaluation of benefits realisation across key initiatives
• Prepare and review monthly management reporting and commentary
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis to support decision-making
• Track performance against strategic goals, budgets and business plans
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, standardisation and digitisation

The Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:

• CA/CPA qualified with a minimum of 6 years’ experience
• You may have commenced your career in a Chartered Accounting firm before moving into a commercial finance or business partnering role
• Alternatively, you may have developed your experience within a large, complex corporate environment
• Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling and business partnering, with the ability to provide commercial insights that influence decision-making
• Exposure to capital expenditure, business cases, investment analysis or large-scale projects will be highly regarded
• Strong commercial acumen with the confidence to influence and challenge senior stakeholders
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
