Senior Electrical Engineer – RPEQ | Off-Grid Power Systems | Brisbane | $170,000 – $180,000 base + super | Permanent
Are you an RPEQ Electrical Engineer who wants to design it, build it, test it and see it deployed?
We are working with an established engineering business backed by a global industrial leader. They design and build complete off-grid power systems entirely in-house from their Brisbane workshop. Solar, battery and diesel hybrid systems packaged into skids and shelters, from design through to factory acceptance testing and deployment in the field. Clients include mining, defence, emergency services and government.
This is a hands-on role for an engineer who wants genuine ownership across the full project lifecycle in a small, close-knit team.
What you will be doing
LV and DC power system design
LV switchboard design and RPEQ sign-off
Working hands-on across the build, integration and factory acceptance testing of power systems
Taking projects from concept through design, manufacture, FAT, commissioning and deployment
Collaborating across engineering, mechanical and workshop teams
What you need
RPEQ registration, scoped to LV switchboard design and sign-off
Genuine hands-on mindset, comfortable in a workshop and build environment
Brisbane based, within one hour commute of Virginia QLD
Mid-senior career stage, not principal level or drifted into management
Australian citizen or permanent resident preferred
Highly regarded
LV switchboard design and manufacture experience
FAT and SAT testing experience
Off-grid, solar, BESS, diesel hybrid or DC power systems exposure
Skid or packaged power build experience
Full project lifecycle delivery
