About the role
This is a casual position offering entry into the building sustainability industry with no experience necessary. Full software training will be provided. You will learn to conduct thermal performance assessments for residential projects to ensure compliance with the National Construction Code (NCC).
Key responsibilities
Learn to conduct NatHERS energy ratings using accredited simulation software
Review architectural plans with a focus on accuracy and quality
Prepare and lodge energy rating certificates and stamped plans
Stay updated on NCC changes, state variations, and sustainability regulations
Learn to conduct alternative assessment types such as Deemed to Comply
About you
A keen eye for detail is essential for reviewing plans
Strong baseline interest in building design, construction, or sustainability
Eagerness to learn and master new energy rating software programs
Valid NatHERS Accreditation or willingness to complete the Certificate IV qualification
Strong communication skills and a reliable work ethic
