About the Role
Our client, a reputable financial institution, is seeking an experienced Treasury professional to support the development and execution of its regional Treasury function. This role will focus on Asset & Liability Management (ALM), funding strategy, liquidity risk management, Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), and Treasury governance while partnering closely with Finance, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and regional stakeholders.
Looking for a banking Treasury professional with strong hands-on ALM, FTP, liquidity/funding strategy, balance-sheet management, and Basel/MAS regulatory experience, ideally with regional exposure.
Key Responsibilities
Asset & Liability Management (ALM)
Support the design and implementation of the regional ALM framework and governance structure.
Develop ALM policies, procedures, and analytical reporting to strengthen governance and oversight.
Establish and enhance Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) methodologies incorporating liquidity and term premium considerations.
Develop and maintain internal funding curves across currencies and tenors.
Partner with Finance and Business teams to integrate FTP into profitability measurement and pricing decisions.
Funding Strategy & Issuance
Support the design of regional funding structures and issuance vehicles.
Develop funding models to determine the optimal funding mix and issuance strategy.
Establish governance frameworks to monitor issuance activities within approved risk appetite.
Contribute to regional contingency funding planning.
Treasury Governance & Liquidity Management
Execute and monitor Treasury dealing activities, including money market, foreign exchange, and interest rate management, within approved risk limits.
Monitor liquidity risk metrics and prepare reports for senior management committees.
Liaise with Tokyo Treasury on regional funding limit allocations.
Ensure compliance with MAS regulations, BCBS Basel liquidity standards, internal Treasury policies, and regulatory requirements.
Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and Treasury best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline.
8–10 years of Treasury experience within banking or financial markets.
Strong experience in Asset & Liability Management (ALM), Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP), and liquidity management.
Experience in developing or implementing ALM and FTP frameworks is highly preferred.
Good knowledge of BCBS Basel and MAS liquidity regulations. Exposure to Hong Kong SFC regulations is an advantage.
Proficient in Bloomberg for trade execution, risk management, and balance sheet management.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 automation tools is an added advantage.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across Treasury, Finance, Risk, Compliance, and Operations.
Positive, proactive, and hands-on team player with a strong sense of ownership.
Willing to support multiple countries on a rotational basis.
