About the Team
The role sits within the Global and Digital Education Unit in the Education Portfolio. The Unit is responsible for shaping, stewarding and growing UTS's global and digital education portfolio, including online and offshore offerings. The team brings together strategic planning, market insight, portfolio performance oversight and partnership development to support scalable, high-quality education aligned to UTS's global ambitions.
About the Role
The Lead, Online Programs provides senior operational leadership for the delivery, performance and continuous improvement of UTS online programs delivered in partnership with external providers. This role if responsible for end-to-end operational performance across the program lifecycle, with accountability for commercial performance, partner delivery and portfolio optimisation. Working closely with the Executive Manager, Products & Partnerships, you will translate strategy into execution-ensuring programs meet agreed quality, student experience, regulatory and commercial outcomes.
There are two opportunities available for the role.
Key Role Responsibilities
- Own program delivery and performance.
- Lead end-to-end operational delivery of online programs, ensuring alignment with business cases, agreements and University priorities. Monitor performance across student experience, quality, enrolments and financial outcomes, proactively managing risks and issues.
- Lead partner relationships and delivery.
- Act as the primary interface for external partners, managing performance against contractual obligations and coordinating delivery across partners, faculties and central teams to achieve consistent outcomes.
- Ensure quality, governance and compliance.
- Work with academic stakeholders to support curriculum integrity and high-quality student outcomes, while ensuring programs meet University policies, quality frameworks and regulatory requirements. Lead governance, reporting and risk management processes.
- Drive continuous improvement and portfolio optimisation.
- Identify and implement improvements across program delivery, systems and processes. Contribute insights to inform portfolio planning, product development and scalable delivery models.
Selection Criteria
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across academic, professional and partner groups.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex, multi-stakeholder programs in a structured and outcomes-focused manner
- Growth mindset and the ability to work with uncertainty in a constantly changing context.
- Sound understanding of online and digital education delivery in a higher education context.
- Experience managing or coordinating complex programs or initiatives involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong influencing skills and experience working across multiple teams and stakeholder groups without direct line authority.
- Experience supporting program delivery with commercial, quality and student experience accountabilities.

What We Offer
Base Salary Range: $122,640 - $139,674 (HEW8) plus 17% superannuation (pension).
The position is full time and will be made on a continuing basis.
