Job Summary
The job holder focuses on supporting the manager and HOD to contribute positively to the culture of evidence based and data-driven planning in MENDAKI and the rigorous design of the evaluation of programmes.
The incumbent is expected to work between 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and may be required to work over weekends and public holidays to support organisation events.
Key Responsibility Areas
Programme Evaluation
a. Liaise with Programme Managers to advice on the appropriate collection of data points to track the outcomes of MENDAKI programmes under their purview, identify gaps to refine current programmes and recommend next steps.
b. Mine and synthesize data from multiple sources for programme evaluation, including analysis of internal databases and externally-sourced datasets.
c. Conduct environmental scanning and trend analysis in the areas of which have an impact on the organisation’s work plan and/or MM community.
d. Lead and deliver comprehensive programme evaluations to programme managers, including identifying gaps to refine current programmes and recommend next steps.
Analytics & Research Support
a. Deliver on organisational data profiling, mapping and analysis
b. Assist the manager in the development of data analysis and insights required to gain an in-depth understanding relating to MENDAKI’s 4 focus areas of Confident Learners, Stronger Families, Future Ready Workforce and Thriving Community.
c. Liaise with Programme Managers to advice on the appropriate collection of data to contribute to longitudinal tracking of participants’ life-time journey with MENDAKI.
d. Support Research and Knowledge team in research, analytics and analysis requirements.
Stakeholder Engagement (Internal and External)
a. Lead engagements and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders such as ministries, national agencies, and Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs).
b. Manage data partnerships between ministries and national agencies.
c. Advocate research findings at appropriate platforms such as conferences, ministries, and national agencies, MM organisations and social service organisations.
Others
a. Any other duties as directed and assigned by the Reporting Officer.
b. Provide executive support for Management Meeting/ Conferences.
c. Delivering to the Research & Programme Evaluation work plan.
d. Occasional travel for meetings and programme visits.
Requirements
a. 2 - 3 years of relevant professional experience in Design-Thinking or Impact Evaluation is preferred.
b. Degree in Psychology / Behavioural Sciences / Statistics / Analytics / Social Sciences, or any related discipline from a recognised institution.
c. Knowledge of research methodologies.
d. Possesses an analytical mind with a strong ability to make sense of large amounts of data and able to think strategically and translate strategies to operational and tangible results.
e. Effective communication and report writing skills.
f. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
g. Strong research experience/track record will be a plus.
h. Proactive, willing to learn and able to work on several projects and tasks concurrently.
i. Ensure compliance to project timeline, milestones, and budget.

Yayasan MENDAKI (Council for the Development of Singapore Malay/Muslim Community) is a pioneer Self-Help Group formed in 1982 dedicated to empower the community through excellence in education, in the context of a multi-racial and multi-religious Singapore.
MENDAKI's programmes largely target the bottom 30% of the Malay/Muslim population and are therefore highly subsidized. They are mostly preventive and developmental programmes to provide early assistance to the beneficiaries. The programmes are designed to supplement or complement national initiatives.
