As part of its continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced National Credit Manager to lead the Group's credit, collections and working capital function.

Position
Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the national credit, collections, accounts receivable and customer credit risk functions.
You will play a key role in protecting working capital, improving cash conversion, strengthening governance and partnering with operational leaders to support sustainable business growth.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the national credit and collections function across the business.
  • Manage customer credit risk, credit approvals and credit limit governance.
  • Drive collections performance, debtor recovery and cash conversion initiatives.
  • Deliver debtor day targets while minimising bad debts and write-offs.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations and Executive Leadership to balance commercial opportunities with prudent credit risk management.
  • Oversee credit policy, compliance, delegated authorities and governance frameworks.
  • Prepare Board and Executive reporting on working capital, debtor performance, cash collections and credit exposure.
  • Lead process improvement, automation and system optimisation across ERP platforms and workflow systems.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performing national credit team while embedding consistent best practice across the business.

Profile
You are an experienced credit leader with strong commercial judgement, excellent stakeholder management skills and a passion for driving process improvement.
To be successful, you will possess:

  • Extensive experience in credit management within the construction, infrastructure or industrial sectors.
  • Strong expertise in credit risk, collections, accounts receivable and working capital management.
  • Sound understanding of corporate governance, compliance and PPSR requirements.
  • Experience developing credit policies, controls and risk management frameworks.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience across multiple ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and reconciliation capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • High attention to detail and a continuous improvement mindset.
