Field Service Engineer (Chiller) (Ref: 37754)
Salary: S$3,500 - S$4,000

Our client, a leading Japanese manufacturing company, is seeking a Field Service Engineer (Chiller) to support chiller maintenance, servicing, troubleshooting, testing and commissioning activities

【 Responsibilities 】
- Schedule maintenance activities for chiller systems and monitor maintenance works, including necessary follow-up actions.
- Ensure all maintenance works are carried out according to prescribed checklists and schedules.
- Conduct testing, commissioning and fine-tuning of new chillers, including coordinating project execution at site, witnessing Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and conducting Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to ensure chillers operate according to targeted performance requirements.
- Interpret as-built documents, schematic drawings and technical documents, as well as analyse operating data from chillers to identify and rectify technical issues.
- Manage on-site chiller overhaul and repair works, including supervising subcontractors and monitoring service quality and work progress.
- Prepare service reports for each service assignment.
- Address customer service concerns by providing prompt and effective technical solutions for chiller-related issues and recommending appropriate preventive measures.
- Prepare risk assessments prior to service and repair activities and ensure compliance with relevant safety procedures.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with applicable workplace safety procedures.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Department Manager.

【 Requirements & Preferences 】
(Must)
- Minimum ITE Certificate with Merit in Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. Candidates with relevant qualifications and experience are encouraged to apply!
- At least 1 year of relevant experience in the chiller, HVAC or refrigeration industry.
- Relevant experience in field service engineering, maintenance, troubleshooting or servicing of chiller/HVAC systems.
- Experience in troubleshooting HVAC faults, particularly modular screw chillers, centrifugal chillers and absorption chillers, would be an advantage.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear and accurate service reports.
- Good safety mindset and commitment to workplace safety and health (WSH) practices.
- Willingness to undertake short-term overseas assignments, where required by business or project needs.
