About the role

SKU Logistics Pty Ltd is seeking an Owner Driver for an Early Morning Shift position based in Brisbane QLD 4000. This is a contract-based role offering flexibility and entrepreneurial opportunity with as many or as few days as preferred. As an Owner Driver, you will be responsible for operating your own less than 4.5tonne GVM vehicle to deliver packages across Brisbane and surrounding areas during early morning hours, providing reliable and professional service to our customers. This role is ideal for independent operators who want to manage their own schedule while working with an established logistics company.

Run starts at 1:00am

Single loading point and time

Run consists of 22 to 30 drops in a concentrated area of Brisbane - QLD

Run follows the same route

Five, six or seven days a week - your choice

Fuel Surcharge in addition to rate included

Nine-day payment terms

On-the-job training included

Run finishes around 6:30am

Key responsibilities

Operate your own vehicle to collect and deliver parcels and packages to customers across Brisbane

Complete deliveries within scheduled time-frames during early morning shift hours

Maintain accurate records of all deliveries

Ensure packages are handled safely and professionally throughout transport

Provide exceptional customer service and address any delivery concerns promptly

Ensure your vehicle meets all legal and safety requirements

Communicate effectively with the logistics team regarding delivery updates and issues

Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies

What we're looking for

Valid Australian driver's licence with a clean driving record

Own reliable vehicle suitable for parcel delivery (van, pantech or similar)

Comprehensive vehicle insurance including public liability coverage

Proven experience as an owner-driver or in courier and delivery services is not a critical requirement

Strong time management and organisational skills to meet delivery schedules

Professional attitude with excellent customer service abilities

Physical fitness to handle regular loading and unloading of packages

Ability to navigate Brisbane efficiently and use GPS technology

Knowledge of road safety regulations and commitment to safe driving practices
