Your new role

As the Technical Facilities Manager, you will take ownership of the engineering and technical delivery across multiple sites, leading service partners, contractors and technical teams to ensure operational excellence. You'll be responsible for maintaining critical assets, driving compliance, managing vendors and supporting facilities projects while ensuring service levels consistently.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the delivery of technical facilities and engineering services across the portfolio.
  • Managing technicians, engineers and specialist service providers.
  • Overseeing preventative and reactive maintenance programmes for critical infrastructure.
  • Managing engineering service contracts, inspections and quality assurance processes.
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory, health, safety and risk management requirements.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders, landlords, contractors and workplace teams to deliver seamless services.
  • Supporting budgets, reporting, tender processes and contract administration.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, efficiency and cost optimisation.
  • Managing critical incidents and participating in emergency response activities when required.
  • Supporting facilities projects, energy management initiatives and operational improvements across the portfolio.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience as a Technical Facilities Manager, Engineering Manager, Facilities Engineering Manager or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of building services, including HVAC, electrical, fire and building management systems (BMS).
  • Experience managing technical contractors and maintenance service providers.
  • Sound understanding of workplace health & safety, compliance and risk management practices.
  • Strong stakeholder and client relationship management skills.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with critical environments, data centres or mission-critical infrastructure will be highly regarded.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities and drive operational performance.
