Their Geelong facility operates with a strong focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement, supporting both domestic and international markets.

They're currently seeking a practical, hands-on Plant & Maintenance Engineer to join their team and play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly.

Your new role

This is not a desk-only engineering role - they're looking for someone who thrives on being on the floor, troubleshooting equipment, and driving real-time improvements. As the Plant & Maintenance Engineer, you will take ownership of the reliability, performance, and maintenance of plant equipment, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum efficiency.

• Lead and execute preventive and corrective maintenance activities across the plant
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process issues quickly and effectively
• Work closely with production teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability
• Hands-on involvement in repairs, breakdown response, and fault-finding
• Develop and implement maintenance strategies and schedules
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (CI, Lean, TPM)
• Manage contractors and support major plant upgrades and installations
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and food manufacturing standards

What you'll need to succeed

We're looking for someone who is technical, proactive, and not afraid to get their hands dirty.

You will bring:

• Degree or trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or food processing environment
• Strong hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with automation, PLCs, or control systems (desirable)
• A practical mindset with the ability to solve problems on the spot
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A safety-first attitude and commitment to best practices
