Carrington Cottages is a registered not-for-profit association that provides 103 rooms across 4 facilities in the Adelaide CBD for men, women and couples who have been sleeping rough in Adelaide. The organisation is a leading transitional housing provider in South Australia, offering a safe haven for individuals, couples and their pets experiencing homelessness. Carrington Cottages actively collaborates with Industry Partners, Government Agencies, Non-Profit Organisations, Primary and Allied Health Practitioners to enhance the support they provide. This enables them to offer additional resources and opportunities to guests in their buildings empowering them to achieve lasting positive outcomes.

Your New Opportunity:
Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the Tenant Services Delivery Manager is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the strategic delivery of tenant services across Carrington Cottages.
This is an opportunity to influence organisational direction while leading a passionate team committed to changing lives.
You will provide leadership to the Housing Manager, Case Workers and future support personnel, driving service excellence, tenancy sustainment, behavioural support, complex case coordination and successful housing pathways.
You will also contribute strategically through stakeholder engagement, service innovation, policy development, quality improvement initiatives and representation within SACAT and the broader housing sector.
Key responsibilities include:
Build supportive and respectful relationships with clients
Drive tenancy sustainment and positive housing outcomes
Work closely with team members to support tenant management as well as case management
Develop relationships with allied health services to optimise tenant support
Strengthen partnerships across government and the homelessness sector
Liaise with accommodation providers including relevant government departments and community housing providers to support successful tenant transition to long term accommodation
Represent Carrington Cottages in SACAT proceedings
Foster innovation and continuous improvement
Contribute as a valued member of the Executive Leadership Team
Implement and maintain appropriate policies and procedures to support safety and security for tenants and staff
What you will need …….
You are an experienced leader who believes housing changes lives.
You understand the complexities of homelessness and are passionate about creating services that genuinely improve outcomes for people experiencing disadvantage.
You combine emotional intelligence with sound judgement, inspire those around you and confidently navigate complex situations with professionalism, compassion and accountability.
You'll bring:
Leadership experience within housing, homelessness, community services or human services
Strong knowledge of tenancy sustainment and transitional housing
Knowledge of housing and homelessness systems in Adelaide
The ability to respond to emerging issues and changing priorities in an effective manner
Experience in leading a team
Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
Experience supporting people with complex psychosocial needs
High-level communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills
A commitment to continuous improvement and service excellence
Current DCSI and Police Clearances, First Aid Certificate, and valid Driver’s Licence
