About the Role

A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their team. This is a hands-on role maintaining and repairing heavy fixed/mobile plant, machinery and transport fleet equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance
• Service transport fleet including trailers, dollies and end tippers
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults
• Complete overhauls, repairs, installations and equipment relocations
• Conduct daily safety and maintenance checks, including lockout/tagout
• Assist with construction, maintenance and continuous improvement projects
• Train and support apprentices and labourers
• Manage contractors and report equipment issues to management
• Maintain safe, clean and organised work areas
• Operate heavy machinery safely and in accordance with legislation

What We’re Looking For

• Relevant Trade Qualification – Cert III/IV or higher
• Heavy plant experience within metal, manufacturing or mining
• Experience with fixed/mobile plant and transport fleet
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fault-finding skills
• Pump maintenance experience
• High Risk Work Licences
• Strong WHS knowledge, communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's licence
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
