Salary: 79,423 plus superannuation

The Company

Tambrey Centre is currently looking for reliable and motivated full-time Chefs to join our busy venue and growing team.

Key Duties:

Prepare meals to order from customers

Monitoring and upholding orderly and hygienic work practices to ensure a premium food product

Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the kitchen

Supervising production of function and catering menus as required

Monitoring stock rotation when new stock fresh and frozen produce or dry store stock arrives

Ordering food supplies, monitoring food costs and staff overseeing and training for new dishes.

Working in conjunction with restaurant management to plan seasonal menus

Monitoring perishable stock to minimise wastage and prevent contamination

Maintain food quality and presentation under pressure

Report promptly maintenance and safety issues and ensure they are corrected

Monitor portion control and production flow and correct where necessary

Skills and Experience required:

Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery is highly regarded

1 year or more experience working in a commercial venue

A passion for the Food and Beverage Industry

The ability to take direction and work as part of a team

The ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
