Amity Housing is an experienced, nationally registered Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) provider managing quality SDA homes across South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service to NDIS participants, providers and investors while building long-term, collaborative relationships across the NDIS sector.

We're looking for an experienced, organised and people-focused Finance & People Coordinator to join our growing team at our Adelaide office.

This is a varied and trusted role combining finance and bookkeeping, payroll, HR administration and employee wellbeing within a growing national organisation.

About the role

This is far more than a traditional bookkeeping position.

You'll manage the day-to-day finance function of Amity Housing, including accounts, payroll, NDIS/SDA payment reconciliations, participant rent and property owner payments.

Our finance processes involve multiple properties, participants and income streams, so we're looking for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, solving discrepancies and keeping everything accurate and organised.

Alongside finance, you'll coordinate our internal HR administration and act as Amity Housing's Wellbeing Officer, helping us maintain a positive, connected and supportive workplace.

You don't need previous SDA experience. We'll provide comprehensive training and handover in our NDIS and SDA-specific financial processes.

Key responsibilities

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

Complete bank and credit card reconciliations.

Process and reconcile NDIS and SDA payments.

Manage participant rent transactions and reconciliations.

Prepare and process property owner payments.

Manage supplier invoices and payment runs.

Maintain accurate financial records within Xero.

Investigate payment discrepancies and outstanding accounts.

Manage end-to-end payroll, including leave, allowances, superannuation and employee changes.

Assist with BAS preparation and liaise with our external accountant as required.

Prepare regular financial and management reports.

Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts to support financial planning and decision-making.

Prepare employment documentation and maintain accurate employee records.

Maintain HR systems, policies and personnel documentation.

Liaise with our external HR advisors when specialist advice is required.

Act as the internal Wellbeing Officer and an approachable point of contact for staff.

Coordinate staff wellbeing, recognition and engagement initiatives alongside the Managing Director.

Maintain and improve internal finance, payroll and HR processes.

About you

You'll be someone who is equally comfortable working with numbers and people and enjoys taking ownership of their responsibilities.

Ideally you'll have:

Strong bookkeeping, finance or accounts experience.

Excellent working knowledge of Xero.

Experience managing end-to-end payroll.

Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable and reconciliations.

Experience preparing cash flow forecasts and management reporting.

Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.

Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate discrepancies independently.

Experience with HR administration or an interest in developing your skills in this area.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Discretion and professionalism when handling confidential financial and employee information.

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset.

Experience within the NDIS, disability, property or another regulated environment would be highly regarded, however SDA experience is not essential.

What we offer

Varied role across finance, payroll, HR and employee wellbeing.

Supportive national team with experienced leadership.

Comprehensive training and handover in SDA and NDIS financial processes.

Autonomy and ownership of your role.

Ongoing professional development.

Opportunity to improve systems and processes as the organisation grows.

Modern office based in Allenby Gardens.

Competitive salary plus superannuation.

If you're an experienced finance professional who enjoys solving problems, working with people and taking ownership of a varied role, we'd love to hear from you.
