About the role

PlayFACTO School @ Tiong Bahru is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Student Care Teacher to join our team on a full or part-time basis. This role is pivotal in providing high-quality student care and support services to our learners. As a Student Care Teacher, you will create a nurturing and safe environment where students can develop holistically, whilst complementing our school's educational mission. Based in the vibrant Tiong Bahru enclave (minutes' walk from Tiong Bahru and Havelock MRT Station), this position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives through quality supervision, engagement and developmental support.

Key responsibilities

Supervise and care for students during designated student care hours, ensuring their safety, wellbeing and engagement at all times

Plan and facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote creativity, critical thinking and social-emotional development

Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents through effective communication and collaboration

Monitor student behaviour and implement appropriate behaviour management strategies in line with school policies

Maintain detailed records of student attendance, activities and any incidents or concerns that arise

Provide support to students with homework, revision and academic concerns when required

Maintain a clean, safe and well-organised student care environment

Work with colleagues to ensure continuity of care and smooth daily operations

Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and training as required by the school

What we're looking for

Relevant qualification or certification in childcare, education, or a related field (e.g. Diploma in Early Childhood Education or equivalent)

Proven experience working with children in a care or educational setting, preferably within a school environment

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students, parents and colleagues

Excellent organisational and time management abilities

Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing

Knowledge of child development, safeguarding policies and best practice in student care

Ability to plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities

Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school environment

First Aid and CPR certification is advantageous

Experience with behaviour management and conflict resolution
