Chess Instructor (No Teaching Experience Required)

We are looking for enthusiastic and reliable Chess Instructors to deliver chess programs in schools. No prior teaching experience is required — full training, resources and ongoing support are provided. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys chess, working with children and wants flexible, meaningful work.
About the Role
As a Chess Instructor, you will run structured chess sessions for primary school students in a fun, engaging and supportive environment. You will be provided with lesson plans, materials and training to confidently deliver each session.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver chess lessons to small groups of students
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Follow provided lesson plans and program structure
Manage classroom behaviour
Communicate professionally with school staff and parents when required
Set up and pack down chess equipment
No Teaching Experience? No Problem.
We welcome applicants with no formal teaching background. If you enjoy chess and are comfortable working with children, we will provide:

Essential Requirements
Enjoyment of chess (competitive experience not required)
Confidence working with children
Current Blue Card (or willingness to obtain one)
Reliable transport
Professional and punctual attitude
Desirable (But Not Essential)
Experience working with children in any setting
Basic chess knowledge (we cater for beginner to intermediate levels)
