About the role
Control Design Engineer/ Electrical Control Engineer role involving the creation of electrical control schematics drawings for automated equipment, 2D or 3D electrical panel layouts, and cable routing designs. The position includes generating equipment bills of material, supporting manufacturing on machine wiring, power up, debug and setup, and supporting customer buy-off, site installation and training.
Key responsibilities
Create electrical control schematics drawings for automated equipment
Create 2D or 3D electrical panel layout, cable routing layout, etc.
Generate equipment Bill of material
Support manufacturing on machine wiring, power up, debug, setup, etc.
Support customer buy-off, site installation and training
Write equipment manuals, setup procedure and machine checklist
Communicate with customer on machine specifications, component selection, etc.
Communicate with vendors to support procurement and to resolve component issues
Support in house component testing and evaluation
Support in house production team during machine replication
About you
Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronics Engineering
Preferably with 2 to 3 years relevant experience in industrial control design, however fresh local graduate are welcome
Good knowledge of using AutoCAD or E3
Good working knowledge with of PC and PLC based control systems, servo/stepper controllers, sensors is advantageous
Ability to work independently in designing and liaising with customers on technical specifications and requirements
Participate in and effectively communicate in group discussions and meetings
