We are looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Technician to join our team. If you enjoy hands-on mechanical work, troubleshooting complex vehicle issues, and working with a reputable organisation, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

As a Workshop Technician, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on commercial and industrial vehicles to ensure they are operating safely and efficiently.

Your responsibilities include:

Perform preventive maintenance, servicing, repair, and overhaul of commercial vehicles, trucks, industrial vehicles, and related equipment.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment.

Carry out major repairs and overhaul of engines, transmissions, differentials, brake systems, steering systems, suspension systems, and other vehicle components.

Inspect vehicles to identify defects and recommend suitable repair solutions.

Conduct pre-delivery inspections (PDI), scheduled servicing, and safety inspections according to manufacturer specifications.

Perform repairs in accordance with workshop procedures, quality standards, and manufacturer guidelines.

Ensure all repair work is completed within the allocated turnaround time while maintaining high workmanship standards.

Report unusual findings, major repair requirements, or additional replacement parts to the Team Leader or Workshop Supervisor for approval.

Complete work orders, service reports, inspection checklists, and related documentation accurately and promptly.

Test-drive vehicles (where authorised) to verify repairs and ensure faults have been rectified.

Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and workstations in good working condition.

Observe all Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment.

Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in technical training when required.

Perform any other workshop-related duties assigned by the Team Leader or Supervisor.

Requirements

NTC 2, NITEC in Automotive Technology, Heavy Vehicle Technology, or equivalent qualification.

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in servicing and repairing commercial vehicles, heavy vehicles, trucks, buses, forklifts, or industrial equipment.

Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle systems.

Hands-on experience in engine and transmission overhaul is highly preferred.

Experience using automotive diagnostic equipment and service tools.

Basic understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems will be an advantage.

Able to read and understand service manuals and repair procedures.

Competent in basic English, both spoken and written.

Class 3 driving licence is preferred.

Able to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively within a team.

Responsible, safety-conscious, and committed to delivering quality workmanship.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Alternate Saturdays: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
