Robot Operator
THEROBOTCOMPANY PTE. LTD.

You've never heard of this job. That's because it's new.
About The Robot Company
We put robots into real workplaces — retail floors, electronics facilities, warehouses — and get them doing genuine, paid work straight away. The way we manage that is simple: a trained person pilots the robot remotely from our operations hub.
That's not a stopgap. Every shift an operator runs teaches our AI models, so the robots gradually take on more of the work themselves. When that happens, our operators move from driving one robot to supervising several. Robots that are actually useful today, getting more capable every week.
The role
That's where you come in.
As a robot operator, you control mobile manipulation robots from our operations hub, using leader arms and VR controllers. You'd be among the first people in Singapore doing this professionally.
What you'll actually do
Pilot robots remotely to complete real tasks for real customers: precision manipulation, navigation, and problem-solving when things get strange
Follow the standard operating procedure for each deployment, and help improve it
Flag issues, log edge cases, and give the engineering team feedback that directly shapes how the robots and the models improve
Grow with the role. We're building toward telesupervision, where one person oversees a fleet rather than operating one robot. The operators here now are the people who'll do that first.
You might be very good at this if you
Play video games seriously. FPS, sim racing, flight sims, rhythm games — hand-eye coordination and controller fluency transfer directly.
Have operated machinery. Cranes, excavators, forklifts, drones.
Have done skilled hands-on work. Technician, chef, barista, seamstress, assembler, dental nurse, mechanic.
Are patient and methodical, and don't rattle when something unexpected happens.
The real requirements
High attention to detail.
Reliable, punctual, able to follow procedures carefully.
Basic English for SOPs and team communication.
Based in Singapore, with the right to work here.
No robotics background needed.
Details
Full training provided. We'll teach you everything you need to know to pilot the robots.
Shift-based: shifts of 5–8 hours, ideally 2–3 a week.
S$15 per hour.
Early team at a fast-moving robotics company — what you do here becomes the playbook.
