Job Description

William Buck, more than advisors:

We understand that exceptional advice comes from passionate people who thrive in an environment where they feel empowered to shape outcomes. That’s why at William Buck, we’ve created what we like to call the “just-right” model – a top tier firm that’s perfectly sized to ensure every employee has a tangible impact. William Buck is the perfect place to start, grow or take your career to the next level. Be part of a dynamic team that prides itself on delivering advice that makes a difference.

Description of the role:

We're looking for an experienced Change Lead to join our Group PMO on a 12-month contract. In this role, you'll partner with leaders, project teams and stakeholders across the business to help people successfully navigate change. Working across a portfolio of strategic initiatives, you'll drive engagement, communication, readiness and adoption, ensuring new systems, processes and ways of working are embedded effectively. You'll also play a key role in building practical, sustainable change capability that supports long-term success across the firm.

Please note: Applications are welcome from candidates located anywhere in Australia or Auckland.

What makes you ‘just right’:

You'll bring a blend of change management expertise, strong relationship-building skills and a pragmatic approach to delivering outcomes. Ideally, you'll have:

A change management certification (e.g. Prosci, CCMP) and/or a relevant tertiary qualification

5-10 years' experience in change management, preferably within professional services or similar environments

Proven success delivering change initiatives across complex, multi-stakeholder organisations

Exceptional communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills

The ability to influence, build trust and drive outcomes without direct authority

Strong organisational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities

A collaborative, adaptable mindset and genuine passion for helping people embrace change

What your day might look like:

No two days are the same, but you can expect to:

Lead change planning, impact assessments and readiness activities across a range of strategic projects

Develop and deliver communication and engagement initiatives that keep stakeholders informed and involved

Facilitate workshops, briefings and training sessions that support successful adoption

Partner with Sponsors, leaders and project teams to identify and manage change risks early

Monitor adoption outcomes, gather feedback and recommend practical improvements

Build relationships across offices and business units to support a connected and consistent change experience

Contribute to the continuous improvement of change practices, tools and ways of working across the Group PMO

What makes us ‘just right’:

At William Buck, you'll have the opportunity to make a genuine impact during a period of significant transformation.

We offer:

The opportunity to lead change across high-profile, organisation-wide initiatives

A collaborative national environment where you'll work with stakeholders across multiple offices

A values-driven culture built on collaboration, aspiration, relationships and innovation

The chance to shape and strengthen change management capability across the firm

Access to engaged leaders who value partnership, influence and fresh thinking

Meaningful work that helps our people, teams and business adapt and thrive through change

A supportive environment where your ideas, expertise and contribution will be recognised and valued
