About You

To succeed, you will have experience, skills and demonstrated ability at the appropriate level for the position as outlined in the Position Statement.

You will have a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or a Juris Doctor (JD), together with a PhD (or equivalent legal experience). For Teaching-Focused positions, nearing completion of that award (or equivalent alternative) will suffice.

For the four (4) Balanced academic positions, successful applicants will conduct high-quality research, deliver high-quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students, and supervise research students. You will make a positive contribution to the Law School’s culture of collaboration and innovation, support the delivery of strategic goals, and enhance the reputation of the School, Faculty and University.

For Teaching-Focused positions, successful applicants will deliver high-quality teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students. The successful applicants will be required to make a positive contribution to the Law School’s culture of collaboration and innovation, support the delivery of strategic goals, and enhance the reputation of the School, Faculty and University.

You will be required to travel to UNE campuses for your role, including for teaching, research and service. The School of Law is interested in receiving applications from outstanding researchers and teachers in all compulsory core units, particularly: commercial law, contract law, torts law, criminal law, and/ or tax law.
