The Opportunity

This is a strategy and business analysis support role focused on organisational problem-solving, strategic and financial analysis, process improvement and high-quality advice for senior leaders. It is not a technology, systems or software Business Analyst role.

This is a rare opportunity to work at the heart of CARE Australia, partnering with the CEO, CFO and Executive team on high-impact projects that shape how we respond to opportunities, solve complex challenges and strengthen our impact.

No two weeks will look the same. You’ll move across strategic and financial propositions and problem solving, analysis, opportunity assessment, process improvement and executive-ready papers — bringing structure, clarity and momentum to work that matters.

This role will suit someone with experience in strategy, consulting, commercial/financial analysis, organisational problem-solving or complex project-based work.

What you’ll do:

As Strategy Analyst, you will:

Get close to the big questions by providing structured analysis and problem-solving on strategic and special projects led by the CEO, CFO and Executive team.

Turn complex problems into clear options by diagnosing organisational challenges, drawing insights from evidence and developing practical, actionable solutions.

Help teams work smarter by understanding how work gets done, identifying practical improvements and documenting clear, simple ways of working.

Prepare polished briefings, analytical papers and presentations that turn complex information into clear recommendations for the CEO, CFO, Executive team and Board.

Build trusted relationships across departments and country offices, gathering insight, testing ideas and ensuring recommendations reflect operational reality.

Projects may include preparing analysis for Executive or Board decisions, assessing organisational opportunities, reviewing current ways of working and summarising complex information into clear recommendations.

About You

We are looking for someone who can think strategically, analyse information, structure ambiguous problems, communicate clearly and produce decision-ready work. You do not need a technology background for this role.

You’ll thrive in this role if you are curious, commercially minded and comfortable working with ambiguity. You will bring:

Strong strategic and analytical capability, with the ability to cut through complexity, interrogate evidence and translate insights into clear recommendations.

Experience producing high-quality analysis, presentations and written papers that influence senior decision-makers.

A proactive, self-directed style, strong attention to detail and the confidence to progress work with limited supervision.

Confidence using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint and AI-enabled tools to analyse information and prepare clear, high-quality materials.

Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities, manage deadlines and keep work moving.

Strong relationship-building skills, sound judgement and the maturity to work across a diverse organisation while handling sensitive information with discretion.
