About the role

Ascot Travel is expanding and we are seeking a fully experienced and enthusiastic Travel Agent to join our team. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to help customers plan unforgettable holidays and business trips. As a Travel Agent, you will be at the heart of our business, providing expert travel advice, booking arrangements, and outstanding customer service. This role is crucial to maintaining Ascot Travel's reputation as a trusted travel partner in the community.

What you'll be doing

Consulting with customers to understand their travel needs, preferences, and budget requirements

Researching and recommending suitable travel destinations, accommodation, and transportation options

Booking flights, hotels, car rentals, tours, and other travel services

Providing customers with detailed itineraries, travel documentation requirements, and visa information

Arranging travel insurance and other ancillary services to ensure comprehensive travel protection

Processing payments and managing customer accounts accurately

Staying updated on travel regulations, special offers, and new destinations to provide current advice

Handling customer inquiries and resolving any travel-related issues or complaints professionally

Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business

Meeting sales targets and contributing to the overall success of the business

What we're looking for

Experience working as a Travel Agent or in a customer-facing role for a minimum of 5 years

Proficiency in using travel booking systems and Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Galileo, or Sabre

Strong knowledge of international and domestic travel destinations, visa requirements, and travel regulations

Strong airfare knowledge - Fares and Ticketing strongly desired
