A leading Victorian public sector organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Safety & Quality Management Systems to support the delivery of critical supply chain and logistics services that underpin frontline health outcomes. This organisation plays a vital role in ensuring essential products and services are delivered safely, efficiently and reliably across a complex operational environment. Your new role
- Lead the implementation and ongoing management of health, safety and quality management systems across a complex operational environment
- Develop and oversee safety, quality and risk management plans, including incident management, investigations, audits and corrective actions
- Provide expert advice on workplace health and safety, injury prevention, psychosocial risks, contractor management and regulatory compliance
- Support injury management and return-to-work processes through proactive intervention and stakeholder engagement
- Drive transport safety and compliance initiatives, including Chain of Responsibility and Heavy Vehicle National Law obligations
- Maintain and enhance quality management systems, governance frameworks, reporting processes and continuous improvement programs
- Analyse safety and quality performance data to identify trends, mitigate risks and improve operational performance
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant qualifications in Health & Safety, Risk, Quality or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in a senior safety, quality, risk or compliance position
- Strong knowledge of contemporary workplace health and safety legislation and regulations
- Experience implementing and managing safety management systems and quality management frameworks
- Demonstrated success leading audits, investigations, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience within logistics, supply chain, distribution, manufacturing or similarly complex operational environments
- Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility, transport compliance or Heavy Vehicle National Law will be highly regarded
- Current Victorian Driver's Licence
