Job Responsibilities:

Provide safe and high-quality perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgery.

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care according to clinical standards.

Prepare and ensure the readiness of operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies.

Assist surgeons, anaesthetists, and the surgical team during procedures.

Perform surgical counts of instruments, sharps, and swabs in accordance with safety protocols.

Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques to prevent infection.

Monitor patients closely and respond promptly to changes in their condition.

Ensure proper handling, labelling, and dispatch of surgical specimens.

Collaborate with surgeons, anaesthetists, recovery nurses, ward nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Maintain accurate and timely perioperative documentation and patient records.

Maintain theatre equipment, instruments, and stock levels to ensure operational readiness.

Participate in quality improvement, audits, training, and continuing education.

Support the orientation, training, and mentorship of junior nurses and new staff.

Comply with hospital policies, patient safety, infection control, workplace safety, and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements:

Registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) with Full Registration.

Possess a Diploma or Degree in Nursing.

Relevant nursing experience in Operating Theatre (OT) is preferred.
