The Role

We are looking to fill two Sessional Teacher – Automotive positions based at our new Automotive Training Facility at Cambridge Industrial Park.

These positions are ideal for experienced automotive professionals who are currently working in the industry and have a genuine passion for sharing their knowledge with the next generation. If you're looking to give back to your trade while maintaining your industry career, this is an excellent opportunity to teach on a sessional evening class basis, supporting the delivery of training and workplace assessment.

On any given day, your duties will include:

  • Deliver engaging, practical training that inspires the next generation of automotive professionals.
  • Facilitate evening classes and support workplace-based assessment and training delivery.
  • Deliver high-quality training that meets industry and learner needs.
  • Support and mentor students throughout their learning journey.
  • Utilise your administrative and digital skills to maintain accurate student records and training documentation.
What you bring
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent)
  • Relevant automotive trade qualifications (Certificate III or equivalent) with current industry experience.
  • Experience as a mentor, trainer or workplace supervisor is highly regarded.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into engaging, practical learning experiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and industry stakeholders.
  • A current Working with Vulnerable People Registration, or the ability to obtain one prior to commencement.
