An exciting opportunity is available for experienced Boilermakers and Welders to join a well-established Australian manufacturer specialising in the design and manufacture of tipper trailers and heavy transport equipment based near Cannon Hill.

This is a workshop-based role working on the fabrication and welding of heavy-duty trailer chassis and components, with consistent hours, overtime opportunities and the potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidates.

Duties

• Fabricate and weld tipper trailer chassis and components
• Perform standard MIG welding on steel
• Work with high-tensile steel
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans
• Complete fit-up, fabrication and welding activities
• Ensure work is completed to required quality and safety standards
• Work as part of a team in a busy heavy manufacturing environment

Skills & Experience

• Australian-recognised Boilermaker trade qualification preferred
• Previous experience in steel fabrication and welding
• Strong MIG welding experience
• Experience working with high-tensile steel
• Trailer, chassis or heavy vehicle fabrication experience highly regarded
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Reliable, safety-focused and quality-driven
• Second Class Welders with relevant experience will also be considered

Benefits

• $55–$60 per hour depending on experience
• Monday to Friday, typically 40–45 hours per week
• Standard hours paid at normal rates
• Saturday overtime paid at time and a half
• Immediate start available
• Busy workshop with work secured through to 18 December
