About the role
Custom Compounding Chemist is looking for an experienced Pharmacist to join a friendly and growing team. The pharmacy has a strong focus on non sterile compounding & medicinal cannabis, personalised medicines . This is a specialised and focused working environment where your time is primarily focused on safe dispensing, medicinal cannabis, Schedule 8 compliance, patient counselling, prescription review and compounding-related pharmacy services.
The pharmacy does not operate many of the routine services commonly associated with busy community pharmacy, such as vaccination clinics, Dose Administration Aids (DAAs), PPA-style pharmacy programs, or large-scale traditional retail pharmacy operations.
Key responsibilities
Dispensing and reviewing medicinal cannabis prescriptions
Clinical and regulatory checking of prescriptions
Patient counselling and medication education
Schedule 8 and controlled-drug compliance
Real-Time Prescription Monitoring requirements
Liaising professionally with prescribers and clinics
Maintaining accurate dispensing and controlled-drug records
Supporting personalised and compounded medicines
Maintaining high standards of clinical governance and patient safety
About you
Current General Pharmacist Registration with AHPRA with no conditions.
Australian pharmacy experience
Strong clinical checking and dispensing skills
Good understanding of Schedule 8 and regulatory requirements
Excellent attention to detail
A professional and patient-focused approach
Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude
Previous medicinal cannabis or compounding experience would be highly regarded, but is not essential for the right pharmacist with a genuine interest in developing expertise in this area

Benefits
