Job description:

· To deliver training for foundational courses and lessons, including:

Basic Task Manuals (BTMs)

Basic Handling and Operation of Fire Extinguishers and Equipment

Donning of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Firefighting Gear Acclimatisation

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course (non-operational components)

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)

High-Performance Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HP-CPR)

· To conduct lessons according to approved plans, training standards, and safety regulations.

· To coordinate with Team Leaders, Course Commanders, and Safety Officers to ensure smooth lesson delivery.

· To prepare session logs for each lesson, documenting instructors, trainees, and activities.

· To take on Duty Mentor (DM) responsibilities to guide and support trainees as part of official duties.

· To ensure training facilities, equipment, and simulators are ready at least one hour before lessons.

· To arrange for equipment and appliances from operational units as required for lessons.

· To troubleshoot and resolve issues related to lesson delivery.

· To ensure new personnel are properly familiarised with training doctrines, directives, SOPs, and TSRM prior to deployment for lessons.

· To act as the first line of reporting in the event of a training incident.

· To coach trainees who require additional time or support to acquire skills, knowledge, or proficiency.

Job Requirements:
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in firefighting or EMS operations and training.
• Medically fit and certified to conduct training duties.
• CDA Instructor Preparatory Course, WSQ Workplace Learning Facilitator Programme, and NIEI HT UP-SCALE Programme are preferable.
• Other relevant certifications (e.g., ACTA, ACLP, DACE) are preferable.
• Class 3 and EV4F driving licences are preferable.
