GTNT Group is looking for an enthusiastic Employment Specialist to join our Employment Services team in Darwin! In this role you’ll be the trusted solutions provider for apprentices, trainees, and host employers — working closely with them to remove barriers, tackle challenges, and create success stories.
In this client facing role there is a strong focus on building genuine relationships, so being approachable and ready to listen is essential. You’ll leverage your knowledge and available resources to support our clients every step of the way. You’ll be the go-to person people turn to when they need support and guidance, while also completing necessary administration tasks and ensuring compliance with relevant group training standards and best practices.

What you'll be doing
As an Employment Specialist, you’ll manage a caseload of apprentices and trainees across a range of industries by:
Building strong relationships with both them and host employers to ensure successful training outcomes.
Providing ongoing mentoring and support throughout the duration of each apprenticeship or traineeship.
Monitoring training, supervision, and development in the workplace to support timely completions.
Coordinating onboarding processes and managing all required documentation for Australian Apprenticeship registration.
Collaborating with Registered Training Organisations and other key stakeholders.
Supporting host businesses with employment-related administration, HR and workplace guidance.
Travelling across the Northern Territory to provide on-site support and build positive, lasting partnerships.
What we’re looking for
You are a passionate and organised individual who has:
Previous experience managing a caseload or working in a mentoring, education or employment services role.
An understanding of the Australian Apprenticeship system and Group Training arrangements.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to a range of audiences.
Strong problem solving skills with ability to juggle multiple priorities.
A genuine desire to support others.
Experience in employment relations, human resources or workforce development (desirable).
A willingness to travel regionally as required.
Someone who enjoys a mix of field-based client engagement and office-based administration work.
Confidence using Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
What you'll need
A current driver's licence (essential for field travel).
A current National Police Check and Ochre Card (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).
