Our client is a leading global organisation undertaking a significant payroll systems implementation across its Australia and New Zealand operations. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative team and play a key role in delivering a successful systems transformation.
Position
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Systems Implementation Lead to drive the implementation of Employment Hero across the ANZ business on a 3–6 month contract.
Working alongside an external implementation partner and key internal stakeholders, you will lead the business side of the implementation, supporting the integration of Employment Hero with existing Workday and Unit4 environments. With the payroll team focused on business-as-usual, you will coordinate project activities, manage stakeholders and help ensure a successful transition through to go-live.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the client-side implementation of Employment Hero.
- Coordinate project activities across Payroll, HR, Finance and Technology.
- Act as the key liaison between the external implementation partner and internal stakeholders.
- Support systems integration across Employment Hero, Workday and Unit4.
- Coordinate data migration, testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support change management, training and business readiness activities.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues and dependencies.
- Ensure a smooth transition into business-as-usual following implementation.
Profile
- Demonstrated experience leading payroll, HRIS or ERP systems implementation projects.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience working alongside external implementation partners or system vendors.
- Exposure to systems integration, data migration, testing and change management.
- Ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders across multiple business functions.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively.
- Experience with Employment Hero, Workday and/or Unit4 will be highly regarded but is not essential.
