Role Description

Mobius Hospitality Group is seeking a commercially minded and hands-on Commercial Accountant to support its portfolio of hospitality venues. This role combines core financial accounting responsibilities with commercial analysis, business partnering and operational support across multiple sites.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will take ownership of month-end reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, statutory compliance and financial performance analysis. You will work closely with venue managers and key stakeholders to provide insights that drive profitability, operational efficiency and informed business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Manage month-end close and financial reporting processes.

Oversee cash flow, bank reconciliations, payroll review, and accounts functions.

Prepare budgets, forecasts, management reports, and financial analysis.

Deliver financial insights and performance reporting to leadership teams.

Ensure compliance with BAS, GST, PAYG, payroll tax, and statutory requirements.

Partner with operational leaders to improve venue performance and profitability.

Support and mentor finance team members.

Drive process improvements, internal controls, and ERP system enhancements.

Liaise with auditors and external stakeholders.

About You

CA or CPA qualified.

Experience in Commercial, Management, or Financial Accounting roles.

Hospitality, multi-site, or SME experience highly desirable.

Strong skills in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.

Knowledge of tax and regulatory compliance requirements.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Advanced Excel and ERP systems experience.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and process improvement capabilities.
