The Facilities Engineer supports the operations and maintenance of Grade A commercial buildings to ensure smooth daily operations, optimal building performance, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating maintenance activities, supervising contractors, planning shift operations, and supporting facility improvement initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities
Support the daily operations and maintenance of building facilities and M&E systems, including ACMV equipment, chillers, electrical systems, and BMS
Plan and coordinate shift schedules and manpower deployment to support operational requirements and building coverage
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance works
Supervise contractors and service providers to ensure works are carried out in accordance with operational, safety, and quality standards
Support integrated system testing, annual shutdown activities, and facility improvement projects
Monitor building systems performance and respond to operational or technical issues in a timely manner
Assist in troubleshooting M&E system faults and coordinate rectification works with vendors and contractors
Support cost management activities including quotation sourcing, price comparison, and vendor coordination
Prepare maintenance reports, operational updates, incident reports, and other technical documentation
Coordinate with clients, tenants, contractors, and relevant authorities on operational and maintenance matters
Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements, fire safety regulations, and company policies
Support ad-hoc operational duties and projects assigned by Management
Requirements
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related discipline
Relevant experience in facilities management or building maintenance within Grade A commercial buildings
Senior Fire Safety Manager Certificate by SCDF will be an advantage
Knowledge of ACMV systems, chillers, BMS, and M&E infrastructure
Experience in planning shift schedules and manpower deployment will be an advantage
Good troubleshooting, coordination, and problem-solving skills
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Able to work independently and in a fast-paced operational environment
Shift work is required (including rotating shifts)
