An exciting opportunity exists for a Casual Airport Reporting Officer to join our team. This position offers flexible work arrangements, with hours worked on an as-needed basis to support airport operations, maintenance activities, leave coverage and operational requirements. As a casual employee, there are no guaranteed or set hours, and shifts may include weekends, public holidays and after-hours work as required.

Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the Port Lincoln Aerodrome, and the Cummins and Coffin Bay Authorised Landing Areas, by arranging and undertaking activities including:

Routine aerodrome maintenance and inspections.

Assisting the Port Lincoln Airport Team to maintain regulatory and legislative compliance.

Supervision of aerodrome works.

Providing a high level of service to internal and external customers.

Inspecting the airfield to ensure facilities such as the movement area (runways, taxiways, aprons), obstacle limitation surfaces, equipment and/or visual aids and other aerodrome infrastructure is safe for aircraft use.

Monitoring, maintaining, and reporting on the aerodrome for the safety of all users.

Formal and in-house training will be provided to the successful applicant, including aerodrome reporting, regulatory compliance requirements, operational procedures, and ongoing professional development opportunities. This position is well suited to applicants who are safety-focused, willing to learn, and interested in developing skills and experience within the aviation industry.

Salary and conditions of employment will be at Grade 5 in accordance with Council’s Enterprise Bargaining Agreement, currently between $40.41 - $40.88 per hours + 25% casual loading.
